About Me
Hmm, what can I say? Although I'm not Asian, there has always been some Asian influence in my life. Both of my parents (who are Black by the way) LOVED martial arts films. Naturally this became the earliest introduction to Asian culture for me. I grew up watching Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, and the many talented actors of the "Shaw Bros." produced films. In my early teens I became fascinated by Anime. I always liked to draw, and Japanese animation was the most "refreshing" art style I had ever seen. Their stories were much deeper than anything I watched on US television, and waaaaaayyyyyy more HILARIOUS! Ronin Warriors (aka Yoroiden Samurai Troopers) was the first Anime I watched and said "Oh Wow! So this is how Cartoons in Japan look!". Shortly after that came Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball. Through my interest in Anime I began paying attention to the "music" of the show. This is how I fell in love with Asian music. It started with Japanese music first, but from watching so many different Asian Dramas from China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan...I have grown fond of all these musical styles. I guess you can say I have some pretty "Worldly" taste. lol
Some of my other interest are Video Games: PS2, Wii, PS 1, Genesis, heck even Sega Master System(yes that old thing!). I really like RPG's most like Final Fantasy anything! LOL But I can get into fighting games too, like Street Fighter, King of Fighters, and Tekken. Puzzle games are cool too.
And just to list a few other hobbies: I enjoy movies, going to the park, reading and relaxing with good company. ^_^
