The way she portrays her characters and the environment around them is positively beautiful. She has such a way with expressing her words, it’s like you’re actually walking through the halls of the school, and you’re instantly sucked into the story. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a humorous, but heartfelt story with colorful characters.
Unwind by Neal Shusterman
Sometime far into the future, children are being salvaged for their body parts, a process which is known as "unwinding." Being brought together by chance, the three main characters Conner, Risa, and Lev, begin a pearling cross-country journey to escape their fates. It has a pretty dark plot, but you won't regret reading it. I had to return it to the library because it was so addictive.
