This anime was pretty decent. I was first forced into watching it thanks to some pesky cousins. I don't enjoy the battling, but have somewhat fallen hard for the characters in the show.

Alice Gehabich was an automatic favorite. She's a wonderful character, along with the gang. She started out as a secondary character, but soon progressed into a very important factor of the anime. The villain, Masquerade, was revealed to be the sweet Russian female. It was unexpected, especially with the knowledge that Alice was a soft-hearted (And very pretty) redheaded 14 year old who played as peace-maker and rather timid. She, after all, doesn’t brawl because she hates the prospect of fighting. Her being the villain (Unknowingly of course!) was a lovely little change in pace.
The plot was excellent, especially having the twist towards the end. The whole Masquerade identity crisis was priceless. I adored it.
Then there’s Shun Kazami. The typical lone wolf ((Which makes him totally hawt…^^)). He reminds me spookily of Uchila Sasuke. Taking into account that he’s a ninja, that comparison makes sense. Shun is the boy who doesn’t believe in friendship and doesn’t feel emotions. His mother died in the Japanese version, leaving him with a grandfather that didn’t allow him to do the thing he loved most: Bakugan Brawl. He and the main character, Dan Kuso, created the game. He was former Rank #1 when Alice/Masquerade took his title.
Runo Misaki is the pigtailed tomboy girl. The one with the spunk, attitude, and a nice little crush on the main character. She has a well-rounded character, along with a violent fist and powerful mood swings.
Julie Makimoto. The pink wearing Australian that’s a complete ditz. Girly and scatter-brained, Julie adds humor to situations. And she has a little thing for Dan, leaving a terribly jealous Runo. In the end, she lets go of her crush and goes for her childhood best friend: A boy who turned evil for some time, Billy.
The rich boy genius, Marucho Marukuro (Sp?), wasn’t one of the best characters. But he was fine. Intelligent as he is short, Marucho added a touch of common sense… Plus, his butler is totally awesome. :3
Lastly, there’s Dan Kuso, our goggle boy. Stubborn, honest, and a bottomless pit when it comes to food, he was the protagonist in the series. A nice, average hero. Dan’s amusing situations made me smile…But not as much as Episode 20 did.
What can I say? I’m an obsessed Shun x Alice fan girl. Sue me; I’ll just hide out in the Bermuda Triangle.
