My name is Shelby. I am from humble beginnings, as the saying goes, since Dullsvile is quite the 'humble' town.
What I like: Nature, reading, writing, rain and storms, poetry, the stars, peace, anything under the genre of "indie", genetics, nighttime, the moon, nature, painting, art
What I dislike: A lot. The sun, the heat, whining, clingy people, pop and rap and country music, non-vegan, not getting enough sleep, annoying people, long lectures, career day, getting roots, bad haircuts, stage fright, scream-talkers, violence, wars, et cetera.
I am a student struggling to be perfect. I'm a cynical pessimist by nature, and a natural sarcastic. My own personal cell is my hometown, Dullsville. Art and cooking is my outlet. I can't help but hate people with bad opinions about the arts, or chefs (ha-ha) . One day I'll travel and say good-bye to everyone who loves the state of Pennsylvania. I'll get out soon enough ;3
Au revior. I can say this now, because I switched to French.

What makes me Embarrassed:
1. Giving speeches. Good thing I have a super-amazing memory . .or else I would surely melt into a puddle of Hinata-esque goo every time I have to deliver one.
2. Being put on the spot. I can't stand it when someone brags about my godlier-than-thou abilities with writing or art or what-ever, and I begin blushing like a ten-year-old.
3. Looking oblivious. This happens a lot. Either I'm lost, clueless, or both.

What makes me Angry:
1. Annoying people. Too Sauske-ish? It's the blunt bitter truth. Please don't squeal or laugh loudly or being a low-fast-talker in my presence. Frankly, just stop talking.
2. Horrible music. Whatever happened to 1991? I just don't understand, and it makes me agitated to hear someone like Kelly Clarkson and T.I.-whoever THAT character is remains a mystery to me- on the radio.
3. No Privacy. That's what knocking on doors and locks were made for! Respect it, or else I will reveal my secret split-personality-side.

What makes me Happy:
1. Reading. Books are so fabulous, I could read all day. Too bad there's no study hall, or else I would actually get a chance to read for a change.
2. Mindless TV. As I am often nicknamed Dictionary and The Brain, it is enjoyable to watch Ouran H.S.H.C or maybe American Idol to let my brain cells die a little.
3. Writing. It could be my endless short story collections, my poetry or haiku, my novel- I just love writing. Getting to write without any interruption really does make me happy.

My Current Obsession: Poreclain and the Tramps

They give a big scene-like f*ck you to pretty much everyone. I admire their gas masks and manic panic hair dye, though I can't say I'm 'scene' or 'emo' myself. Still, they're a unique group and have great songs. Too bad iTunes is missing out
