Everytime I see Han Kyung now I want to start crying. Now that he's the leader of Super Junior - M I've noticed a totally different person. I feel like he has grown a lot from the 'Beijing Fried Rice' man in Super Junior.
I am really bad at editing stuff and talking about myself. My Myspace about me hasn't been updated in nearly a year so excuse me if I appear to be very vague.
How I Got Into Asian Dramas/Media
My Asian fandom started in around 2002 when I rented the Vietnamese dubbed version of Meteor Garden. Around that time, I was a big Vic Zhou fan-girl and began watching dramas that he was in. (Love Storm, Mars) It wasn't until the middle of 2004 that I discovered F4-the band through my good friend who introduced me to it after realizing that I was a large Vic Zhou fan-girl. Because I live in California, access to Asian media isn't that difficult and so during my free time I would gather friends and make trips down to China Town in LA and literally camp out there for hours ( super unsanitary place by the way don't try it lol ) to buy F4 media. This only lasted for a few months when I entered school and made new friends who didn't share my interest in Asian media and dramas which was when my F4 and Asian drama obsession died down for the time being.
How I Got Into Johnnys Entertainment
I got into Johnnys in the middle of 2007. I had seen a poster posted in front of a super market about a new drama and while viewing the poster I saw a guy that I thought was really good looking. I looked at the casting list and found out that his name was 'Dean Fujioka.' I tried to find some videos regarding him on YouTube so when I searched for his name on the popular streaming site, to my disappointment I only got back two results. I clicked on a fan-video that claimed to have pictures of 'the hottest Asian guys' and after watching the video several times I realized that the song used for the video was really catchy. I private messaged the girl and asked for the song that she used, and in response she told me that the song was Real Face by the popular Japanese band Kat-Tun. My Johnny's obsession started fairly late with Kat-Tun but I have to admit it was really intense. I would spend hours on Veoh and YouTube looking up Kat-Tun videos. Through Kat-Tun I discovered Kanjani8 and NEWS as well as other Junior groups.
How I Got Into Korean Media
For some reason, at the place that I buy and rent dramas, Korean media seems to come out faster then any other country. My drama obsession came back after discovering Kat-Tun and so I started getting back into Asian media. While at the video store and shifting through the DVD's, I found an interesting series called Snow Flower. I thought the title was fairly interesting and the plot sounded great so I decided to buy the series. When I took it home to watch, I thought the leading guy was really good looking, (Kim Ki Bum, anyone?) and after looking up the cast-list for the series I began fan-girling over Kim Ki Bum which led into Super Junior and then other Korean boy bands.
