Animes
These are the animes that I've recently watched. I've also gave some of my opinions on them...Some were good and some were..well...bad
The List
Dragonball Z (finished)- An amazing anime, that brought back lots of great memories.
Naruto ( finished)- A great Anime all the way to the end (except some fillers), with some of the most memoriable characters and a puzzling story-line, it's sure to keep you on the edge of excitment.
Cowboy Bebop (finished)- This Anime for me was a different approach. When someone reccomended for me to watch this I was at first heistant, but once I placed the dvd in and sat down and actually watched the first episode...I was hooked. Set in the future, a bounty hunter named Spike trys to capture criminals for money and try to solve some personal issues, while also trying to forget them. There are way more interesting characters in this anime, I just thought I'd give a little taste, but it's something you really have to watch to understand.
DBGT (caution- HUGE SPOILER, read at your own risk)- Gave it a shot and was not so impressed... This was the kicker, I knew going into this anime that I would not enjoy it. Just out of my own persinal feel. DBGT for me it felt as though that it was trying to be like Dragonball and also tring to be DBZ at the same time, it never set itself apart to just being its own individual anime and that was its flaw ( also it wasn't really created by Akira Toriyama).I'm going to to go through the anime saga by saga and try give off a little overview of why I thought it was bad. The Black Star Dragonball saga was awful to watch. I hated the fact that they turned Goku into a kid and it was just boring watching them search for the black star dragonballs, that's it for the first saga, it's approx 15 episodes of them looking for the dragonballs with nothing really jaw dropping or interesting happening, this was done before and it was done better.. I eventually just skipped to the Bebi saga and immediately noticed in this saga they essentially just copied the the Cell saga, basically they took a good story-line and crapped it down, then they morphed it and then finally sending it to us...the viewer. The fighting was nice and Gokus big SS4 was an exciting twist, but other than that i was a completely bland and stolen story-line that I couldn't care for less. Than we go to Super 17, why didn't they just try to come up with a new villian, I mean like the android thing was done, we all know that Cell was and always will be the ultimate android, but when they bring this crap out it makes me wonder what's next...A new creation from Babidi that is stronger than Buu. The Saga's storyline is full of holes, but then again what isn't in DBGT. One question that popped into my head was that how does two 17's some how created a force that almost rivals SS4 and yet one 17 can't beat an asended super sayian. Of course Super 17 dies in the most anti-climatic way and Earth is saved and that we can use the Dragonballs to restore the damage caused....BUT WAIT... A...a...crack...Yes the Dragonballs are cracked and they spawned numerous Dragons (seven to equal each dragonball) that want to destroy the Earth. Some of the dragons look cool, but other dragons just look like rejected pokemon monsters. From my knowledge, Goku beats them all except for none other than Syn Shenron, and just as Goku is about to conquer this dragon, it fuses with the remaining dballs and becomes...OMEGA SHENRON, and kicked the shit out goku, but wait duriing this time Vegeta was getting influenced by science and by some fuckin miracle and the possibility of terrible writting, he to became a SUPER SAYIAN 4, but he to is no match for omega and gets his ass kicked. So Goku and Vegeta decide to fuse and by totally abolishing the rules of the fusion ha technique manage to become Gogeta. Gogeta basically whoops Omega' ass and just before finally killing Omega..The fusion ends and the vegeta and goku get there ass kicked...again....But just before Omega destroys the Earth, Goku was putting together a spirit boom...WIth get this...the power of the universe (didn't really seem big enough, but o..well..scale doesn't matter), and throws it at omega and kills him...Is it over...Nope they use the dballs to restore everything...But...something weird happend, Shenron appears and asks Goku to come with him, Goku without heistation goes with Shenron and merges with the dballs and leaves...and that's it...WTF kind of ending ws that, it doesn't explain what happens to Goku or anything, it just ends. This anime was bad, it was bad because there was no originality into it and the feel of dragonball was completely missing..It was boring plane and down right just bad.. But hey this is my opinion, maybe you saw qualities in this anime that I missed; however, for me it just wasn't good. I don't consider this anime a part of the Dragonball Universe.
