    Started Great But Losing Steam
This anime started with great potential with plenty of action and an interesting character who has lost his memory and is very lazy, but is extraordinarily smart.

As the show progresses it has turned from a protagonist who uses his brain to solve the problems presented to him into him doing odd jobs and having a new princess added to the show every episode along with a bath scene for fan ...

Bogged down by inability to stick to one audience.
This show was something I had been waiting years to see. The original Utawarerumo was one of my all time favorites in spite of it's own issues, and after the first three episodes of this newer series I was extremely pumped to see if it could live up to the hopes the original series left me with. Unfortunately in spite of it's interesting premise and refreshing main character it's exceedingly clear ...

    nothing like the first series.
So, i start watching this series only to find out that its there is one before it, so i stop this series, watch the previous one and continue this series. the first series was pretty good and i reccomend you watch it. its more action and drama than this series. I dont even know what this series is, is it a comedy? romance? it kinda is half-baked on both ends really. only a few fights in the first ...

    The waiting is over!
I've been waiting (and praying) for many years that Utawarerumono would get a sequel and now, it finally has! Being a huge Aquaplus fan aside, this first episode does a great job of introducing the first few main characters and still being extremely enjoyable to watch. The animation is very well done, the voices are superb and the relationship between the two main characters is already very ...

Promising long Journey which I am waiting for.
    [Disclaimer]
    - I write this based on my first impression on EP1
    - I've watched old UTAWARERUMONO and played its old game.
(Not the one they're trying to sell now)

This is Action / Adventure / Fantasy (/Romance maybe)
Set in the old world which is full of animal people. (with dog, cat, wolf ears)

A man, MC, who comes from another world and totally lost all of his ...

    Great Foundation. Weak Everything else.
If you are watching this series before the original you should probably just stop and go watch the original. The enjoyment that can be had is highly increased if you have seen the original. This is a sequel. It is relevant.

This series up to the episode 12 so far is....sadly pointless and boring. There are hints of plot. We have a cast of characters, but what the plot actually is? I have no ...

    Just can't stand harems anymore.
I just loved the mood of this series. The animation and music was great and fitting. The female lead was cute but not loli or annoying. Probably one of the most likable ive seen so early. I'm also very interested in these characters. It looks like it has everything from life to fantasy, maybe some mystery and action aspects. Granting this is only episode 1 but i almost didnt watch this based on ...

What is the conflict in this anime? There is none. (12 episodes)
Despite the impressive production value, the first 12 episodes do little beyond establishing an unending cast of moe-blob characters. There is absolutely no major conflict in the first 12 episodes. This means that up to episode 12 "False Faces" is nothing more than a slice-of-life-harem anime with high production value set in magical feudal Japan.

If moe-harem is what you enjoy watching, then ...

    A very long lackluster series
This series had an interesting premise to start off with, and the first few episodes laid some good ground work in to making what could have been a great series. The main character starts off as a kind of lazy freeloading type with nowhere to go really, but clearly has the intelligence to make something big for himself. Unfortunately he stays this way for pretty much the whole series. There is ...

20 episodes so far and Completely Pointless
This show started well enough but quickly lost track of where it was heading. It starts with the typical character development and then just goes no where. Just random girl added here and there with no point but to add to his harem. The always included bathing episode that goes no where and adds nothing to the story and here we are 20 episodes in and I still have no clue as to the plot. One ...
