    Has the Fighting Chance
Everyone's calling this a Gundam cop-out, but it's in the mecha genre, of course it'll seem similar. We can't just dislike a show because it's not Gundam. The animation, voice acting, and music are all awesome. Although the motives don't seem as powerful in the story the characters are likable and make the show fun to watch. The story gets even better after Ep 2. Give the show a chance! I ...

  • Sunrise does it again
Sunrise has an obsession with making Mecha Animes and at some point you think they would start running out of plots and repeating things; however, yet again, they prove they are still one of the masters of the genre. Valvrave the Liberator is not for the faint of heart and will bring some to tears, the story of school children rising up to over throw a vast empire and shake the world at its ...

while it has a slow start, once it gets running its EXTREMELY good, could not stop watching
i saw this one a month or two back and i was expecting it to be fairly average, the show does indeed have a slower start but it begins to ramp up fairly quickly, while elements and themes of other anime are there (the first episode felt EXTREMELY reminiscent of Gundam Seed) it quickly makes its own mark.

almost immediately its made clear that the risks to the characters and those important to ...

    Snorefest for sure!!
I watched 3 episodes and boy was it boring. I finally tried to read the whole story on wikia and that bored me as well. This anime doesn't offer anything exciting, the action is just a bunch of lasers for the most (pechew pechew). The protagonist is a wimp and it follows the cliche of zero to hero plus his emotional struggles. The other guy is a bad ass, two sides of the same coin. Birds soaring ...

I just wish it carried on...
As someone that recently got back into anime, I can say that this anime in my opinion was excellent, loved every moment of it, and happy it was my first mecha anime. the characters were interesting and i didnt get bored once. the ending left me confused...mostly because i really hate endings to something amazing, the ending was okay, but it was very sad when he... Anyhow im glad i was able to ...

    This gave me a headache.
Ok, the animation was great and action was good too. But the characters were starting to annoy me. Also all the secrets being held from one another was just pissing me off. I got to the point to where I didn't trust anyone and would have gone and lived on my own planet. This reminded me of a movie TAPS where a bunch of military students took over their school because it was being shut down, but ...

Sorry for the language crunchyroll, but it needs to be said that way.
Seriously, this anime is some F*cked up Sh*t. It is messed up and sad in so many ways, but overall, it has a good story, lots of action, much feels (especially the end), and is highly enjoyable. Even if your reading reviews, dont give a sh*t what they say, just watch it and decide for yourself. I didn't think i would like it because of the reviews an put off watching it, then did. And it was ok. ...

Leaves you wanting more until the very end!
I'm not too big of mecha anime person, but I'm a decent mecha fan when there's one show that catches my interest. Valvrave the Liberator is one of those shows.

I've always looked at mecha series like they are character driven narratives, and what this show does best is its portrayal, and development of the lead, and main support characters. Haruto is probably one of the best mecha lead ...

Sure it has its flaws but I truly enjoyed watching it.
Valvrave has its flaws as a show but it doesnt take away from the fact that its an enjoyable show. Yes it does feel very camp sometimes but in the second half it becomes more unique. It also becomes darker and edgier. The ending is actually very sad and did make me a little depressed. The voice acting is great and the animation is flawless. The best thing though is the soundtrack with the first ...

    Seriously, I reccomend it.
When I started watching this anime, I had doubts, and a whole lot of them. It seemed pretty generic, and all the characters seemed cliche. That was how I thought until about halfway through the first episode.

The plot started heating up, and things got very interesting and slightly feels destroying at times. However, there were some plot holes because a plot that is as complex as the one ...
