Finally a studio with some balls (review based on Episodes 1-10)
It's hard to say what I think about Valvrave. It's not your typical mecha show, but at the same time it is. Yes, it's set around a high school (unfortunately) but things are not what they seem. Worth a watch for the beauty of the animation, and the concept, if you already like mecha.

  • slowly building into a awesome show
After the end of the second episode and the following two episodes I almost gave up on this show. I am so glad I didn't, because while this show did start off slow the drama in the show is getting really good. The mecha action is also really good and is kinda a buffer for a few slow episodes. I can't give this show a five yet because I don't know which route this show is going go in. The promise ...

A Good mecha themed anime - Epic Trainwreck
From the mind of Code Geass, Valvrave the Liberator.
General thoughts: I love this series. School themed mechas with specialized mechs for each one on the valvrave team!

This is an epic trainwreck as in, it is so bad it is good. I can call out many parts where that was unnecessary or they could've said something different, or he didn't have to do that.

Music of Valvrave is above average. ...

    The Cliffhangers are killing me!
This series is just... how do I put this, BRILLIANT! The plot, just has you on your toes. Many have been saying its a Gundam wanna-be but it's really not. At first you'll be like ehh, but after a couple of episodes you'll be fully hooked. It also depends on your Taste of Mechas.

And you can't forget about the Cliffhangers at the end. These endings makes the next 7 days longer than usual.

  • really great anime!!
I love this anime so far, one thing I really love about it is that it is not like most robot shows where the main character always makes the proper decision. I also enjoy how the plot requires the character to make decisions most people would be unable to make. This show beats Gundam series by a landslide in my opinion, I am really looking forward to more of this show. Finally I feel this show has ...

    VVV, for Valvrave, and Victory.
Valvrave, another title for Sunrise to sell merch. First, before you vote the review down, that's not a bad thing. Mecha series companies have to sell merch. It's ingrained in their blood, and for good reason. Hundreds of Mecha geeks, like myself, like to buy merch. It's all win/win for Mecha fans.
That said, you're getting what you're expecting from Valvrave. It's another in a long line of ...

Can I have more episodes now please? Edit for season finale
I will admit it- I am not a mech genre enthusiast. I watched Gundam when I was a kid and it was on Cartoon Network in the afternoons. But I never really kept up with it when it wasn't on tv anymore, and I never really dove into more shows like it. So when I found a few of the characters of this listed in the top 20 of fan favorites for the current season I was weary about picking up this show.
    I ...

    Typical Mecha from Sunrise
When it comes to Mecha, Sunrise definitely delivers and so does this springtime package at my doorstep known as Valvrave the Liberator....kind of. The setting itself is typical Sunrise script-writing: We're in space, we don't agree with each other so we try to blow each others freaking heads off. The plotline I'm not going to get into much since there are a multitude of plot holes in the episodes ...

Lelouch and Suzaku have a baby named L-Elf
Basically a genius who's good at fighting and a teen. Extremely unique story line with the vampire/mecha combo. First thing that catches the eye is that genre cross-over. Definitely not your typical mecha, and contains a lot of unsolved mysteries. Some of the cute artsy stuff shouldn't be in a show like this though, but I guess it appeals to some people.
