Not a Gundam clone at all!
From the appearance of pictures and promotion, This looks like a typical mecha anime with emo teens fighting to save their planet/galaxy/whatever. You couldn't be more wrong. There is so many twist, turns and unexpected deaths in this anime that grip you and make you crave more. Everything isn't exactly as it seems to be in this show. The plot is well thought out and quite unpredictable. I highly ...

  • Interesting In It's Own Way
This started off a bit slow for me and had me a little concerned about the plot until season two. That aside, the anime itself looks amazing, the mecha and characters are nicely drawn and the story is different enough to keep you watching. Think Gundam + Vampires = Valvrave.... (See where the plot had me lost until season 2). The story, without spoiling anything, starts off on a colony in space ...

A show worth watching, and overall great
Valvrave is considered to be a Gundam copy? Well yes you can say that. Valvrave is in the same company as Gundam which is both Sunrise and Bandai. These two companies specialize in Mecha, so its not surprising that they have the some of the same elements. Most of all people who have watched Code Geass, this is written by the same guy. Overall design of mecha's are very well done, voice acting is ...

    A ride of unparalleled thrill!
At first Valvrave may seem like some cliche and generic mecha anime but after the ending of the first episode, you are in for a one helluva ride of thrill that no other animes in the same genre can provide. Couple that with the most lovable heroine in the history of mecha anime, Saki Rukino. I guaranteed Valvrave will give you countless hours of excitements and thrills entertainment!

Vampires, Mecha, and Aliens, Oh My!
This anime continues to blow my mind, though the characters lack of trust in each other and quick mood swings aren't always appealing, this show has all kinds of great drama included, not to mention, Vampires, Mecha, Aliens, Genetic Modification, Magic, Great Visuals and solid story that continues to develop. Watch this at least to see how it incorporates so many different themes

    Everything is here...
... except for story. The art and high speed action is typical mech anime fair but the story and character motivation seems unclear and doesn't reach the same level of quality as the rest of the production. Moments that are meant to seem dramatic often fall flat. As the protagonist first enters the cockpit of the mech, the scene tries for a frantic mood in which the character who has never ...

    Great series at first
I gave this anime a chance, and while I like it (a lot) iv become burnt out on it. I started the series yesterday and watched the first 12 episodes straight. I enjoyed them a lot, I'v gotten to the 21st episode within a 24 hour period and I'm starting to dislike the anime. I'm not really a fan of mecca (if that's what the genre is called if not I apologies) but now the anime has turned a little ...

A Bumpy yet Satasfying Ride (3.5 out of 5 stars)
Quicky Review (up to episode 15)

Plot: three words, plot twists galore- 6 (out of 10)
Characters: too many and cliche. Some decent and interesting characters and relationships though- 6
Animation/Fight Scenes: rating says all- 10
Sound/music: personally, I really enjoyed the soundtrack- 8

    Long Review-
I hate it when people say this show is "so bad that it's good". I have to admit that ...

    The 'Evangelion' of the 2010's?
While I have not personally seen Evangelion yet, I have heard great as well as gory things about it and that it is a true classic. And, while I have no experience, I will most likely agree with it once I finally watch it. It is said to be a deconstruction of the Mecha genre. And we have another one at our door-step.

Valvrave, from what I can see, follows the same deconstruction format of the ...

Awesome anime for a gundam series, still unique
I like the storyline, resembles other gundam anime, but with an interesting plot line that makes it original and unique. I also really enjoy the kind of "future" moments that leaves you wondering just what exactly happens
