Sometimes a little fluff and cute girls make a show
OK so there is fan service. Don't care for it, move on. OK the story is lacking, need more? move on. OK there is very little character story, need more? move on. So there is nothing but cute girls jousting. Not your cup of tea? move on.

Well, now that I have suggested those who don't like shows like Walkure Romanze move on here is my take on the show.

I love it. Just ecchi enough, just ...

    jousting and fan service
I started watching this simply because it's a jousting anime. I don't have a particularly strong interest in jousting on its own, but when you add anime it suddenly becomes more appealing. However, it loses a lot of that appeal when you add excessive amounts of fan service. Normally I would have dropped the show after 1-2 episodes, but after reading Negima I learned that if you stick with ...

Fanservice to the Max: And Not Much Else
You know it's going to be a fan service anime when there's half-a-dozen panty shots in the opening theme alone! If you like ecchi humor or oogling anime girls in various states of undress, this is for you.

If not? You should probably give this one a pass. The animation is easy on the eyes, especially in regards to the landscapes, which was pretty much what kept me watching. I honestly wanted ...

    The characters are rather irritating.
Disclaimer: Written on ep. 5 review might be changed
The idea of having an anime dealing with jousting is interesting. Although, the plot seems to be weak. I was first interested in focusing on Takahiro Mizuno developing over the series. But, instead the author has the series concentrated on Mio Kisaki. Her personality is irritating because of her lack of intelligence and common sense. It ...

    Soul soothing harem fantasy
In the town of Helen's Hill, the sport of jousting is phenomenally popular. Every summer they hold a tournament at Winford academy, to decide who's the school's strongest knight. Walkure Romanze tells the tale of six sweet girls ramming lances at each other on horseback.

The jousting matches take a proportional amount of the plot - everything's focused on deciding which of the six girls is ...

Spoiler free review of Walkure Romance
Walkure Romance is pseudo-medieval tale of young ex-knight Mizuno Takahiro and the gallant knights he serves. What sets this anime apart from others is its focus on the sport of jousting and its ability to have you sitting there saying to yourself "what just happened?".

To start this off I'm going to give you a little background about myself. I started jousting and other forms of medieval ...

Decent show so far (3 episodes)
I have no prior knowledge of the visual novel this anime is based on so my opinion would focus only on the show. I'd admit that at first I thought this was going to be another typical harem show full of fan services. I was wrong (about the typical harem part, since this show is full of fan services). The characters are interesting, especially the main guy (what? I should be talking about the girls ...

Fan service with a dash of sophistication
I love that feeling I get when a series exceeds the expectations I had going in, and I guess it helps when said expectations weren't that high to begin with. Simply put, WK is an enjoyable, simple show. I was drawn in by my interest in knights and chivalry, and I cannot say that I've been disappointed. The show is fittingly cute, fun and somewhat brainless, but the place it succeeds where other ...

This Could Be a Good One.
The anime seems to be heading in the right direction. Though the fan service is high on this anime, as well as the sexual references. If avoided the plot is common and simple. I'm not sure how the anime will do after the duel is completed and one of the girls has won but I'm sure it'll be like a typical comedy/ romance. The protagonist will eventually get his dream girl. Along with other girls ...
