Watamote is a anime that is going to make you laugh for hours
I just completed the manga and I have to said this anime is going to make you laugh really hard by just looking at the poor tomoko Desparately looking for a way to get attention and to become popular at the same time, but I warn you this anime is going to make you feel sad and also feel bad for her why? you'll see but for now please enjoy watching this amazing anime comedy :).

No Matter How I Look at It, It's a Cringe-Worthy, Dark Comedy
Behold, Watamote. A somewhat faithful anime adaptation of the manga centering around an introverted young girl named Tomoko Kuroki who was never popular in middle school. Armed with a vast knowledge from playing too many high school simulator/ dating games, Tomoko is very determined to be popular in high school. Will she become popular in high school? Don't ask me, I ain't spoilin' ...

Since I'm not popular, I love this show.
Can't say I'm huge fan when it comes to this genre of anime, but Watamote really struck a chord in me.

The anime follows the misadventures of 15 year-old Tomoko Kuroki on her quest to climb up the social ladder during her first year of High School. Unfortunately for Tomoko, her extreme social ineptitude and awkwardness prevent her from doing so. A textbook otaku/hikikomori, watching Tomoko's ...

Since I'm Not Popular I'll Just Write This Review
Assuming most of you have seen Lucky Star, WATAMOTE does have a main character that you may label as "an otaku" however after you watch the first episode you can see the main character Tomoko Kuroki is very different from Konata Izumi.

The main reason I enjoy this show is due to the characters life and how much I relate to her. Tomoko is a shy, almost insane girl. I love her to death. Some may ...

    Cringingly Hilarious.
This Anime can definitely be difficult to watch at times but is most certainly worth it. I absolutely love how much effort Tomoko puts into trying to be popular. One of the things I also love about this Anime is how they point out how "Typical" or "Cliche" some girls can be. Overall this Anime makes you cringe & laugh all at the same time.

A heart wrenching look at the pain of growing up.
Unless you happen to be one of those heartless types that likes to laugh at the over-blown angst ,hyper-drama and self-sabotage that is the inner life of a 14 yr old girl starting high-school & wishing she was popular. - For instance, her favorite music is the Yandere Boys (psycho boys) new album "Verbal Abuse".

Thoroughly enjoyable comedy, cringe-worthy at its best moments when it brings back ...

    I'm new to anime but...
WOW, I'm starting to LOVE it just because I stumbled across WATAMOTE. Oh it's so amazing, and... They should just change "Watamote" to "I know this feel: The anime"

I'm so glad I found out about it, 10/10, 5 stars, overall amazing.

    high school life is tough
WATAMOTE is about Tomoko Kuroki, an otaku, and her quest to make friends. Tomoko suffers from (or what I think is) social anxiety which makes her awkward around people and tends to escape realty though anime and games. The show is hilarious from the awkward situations she finds herself in but also you find yourself sympathizing with her, wanting to tell her its alright and everything is going be ...

One of my MOST want to see anime!
I may be the only one, but this anime actually reminds me of a song called, "Tokyo Teddy Bear." Like, she seems like she's trying to change herself, but then it never really worked. So possibly (in the end) she stays herself. Though, I don't think it'll happen. I just believe it's something like that. I really am excited for the next episodes!

    Edit:

Holy crap. I was right. She did stay as ...

    Loved by All, True Path
What an amazing anime. It's funny, sad, touching, and it's about a super cool girl. I watched this first and then read the manga and I loved both. Don't be like me and get too attached though, because there probably wont be a second season. Also she uses Beats by Dre headphones and that pisses me off.
