Depressing and strictly for story listeners
This anime is depressing and cringing.

Negatives: The most fun you'll get out of this is very minimal. Too many awkward dialog moments and no character development. She's still the same depressing girl to the very end. Even a child feels sorry for her and the story seems to forget she made two friends at a roof top. She's desperate for friends and has very nice inside information but fails to ...

    BABABABABAABABAAAHAAHAAAA
Just watch it. really you should watch it. The amount of time it takes to read this message you ought to have been past the intro and into the episode itself and should now be under a trance of how ridiculous this series is and yet feel so attracted to such an awesome girl.

This is literally the best anime ever.
So, I found this series on a fateful night on the website for barnes and noble where I was scavenging for any good manga, where I found the first volume. The concept was hilarious, so I decided to look it up, and thus, I found this anime.

First of all, we have our heroine, Kuroki Tomoko, a awkward highschooler who spends most of her time playing otome games, watching anime, and fantasizing ...

    It is Definitely Unique
WATAMOTE is about a girl who is extremely shy, but figures she should be popular in high school because she is in her own world. The main character tries to become better at socializing and being cute, but ultimately she fails by doing something extremely weird. She also has weird ideas about other girls and guys.
For me this anime was 'ok'. The humor in this was pretty good, but the plot was ...

  • A very good, but very uncomfortable anime
I really enjoyed this anime, although it was a little hard to watch sometimes because how much I was reminded of myself when I was in high school. I also found Tomoko to be really cute, even when she was making weird faces. I really hope this gets a second season because I want to eventually see her be able to interact with the world a little bit better!

    Painfully Entertaining
Watamote is an odd show; our 'hero' is the awkward Otaku Tomoko, social misfit, withdrawn, spiteful, perverted, little high schooler who has no aspirations, except to become popular. With only one friend, she has no social skills, thus trying to attract more friends is very difficult for her. despite all this you find yourself hopping for her success.
Some of the situations and her routines come ...

    A Shy Otaku's Life?!
Obviously not. Tomoko Kuroki is in her first year of high school, and she wants to become popular. Everything backfires on her, however. The situations are funny, but some will make you cringe and pity her.
Tomoko is introverted, extremely shy and perverted. She seems to look down on the popular kids in her class, but when spoken to, she goes into a shy-spasm. I have to say, I really liked the ...

    Reveiw of Watamote..
This anime is great since I can relate to the character and I have moved on from that stage of my life and I can laugh at it knowing that I was like Tomoko at one point in my life. If you are checking out this anime, watch the first four episodes first then how you feel about them keep watching!
