WATAMOTE is a cool anime for people who is like our special protagonist , Tomoko , who is a girl interested in dating sims for girls and wants to be popular but , the anime shows a how hard some girls try to be popular so , let that be a lesson to all the boys and girls of the world ! But , popularity isn't all it's cracked up to be . The English version of the series manga is coming on October ...

Not a bad anime to watch for passing time
Not really a fan of Kuroki. I'm guessing that this anime receives high ratings because people in the modern days (including myself) can related, in a way, to Kuroki's case. I found it's really weird that we can talk to our family so fluently, yet when talking to people in the outside world, words become jiberjabish. I sometimes find myself in a similar case when I was trying to get close to the ...

    not sure where this goes
in a way id put this up with lucky star and anime like that it is funny but get very repetitive this girl watamote is an average otaku trying to make people like her but the anime dose not go anywhere it seems to just drag on and on until the viewer just gets bored or for those (like me) watch to see if there is a love interest frankly its cute but quickly becomes boring if you are into skit ...

~No Matter How You Look at It, It'll be You Guys Fault If You Don't Watch This~
The best anime of the summer season. I never thought that a anime like this would come out that soon. It is new, cool, funny and definitely is the most POPULAR. This show has many references to others. I love Mokocchi because she has a weird cuteness.
This show is hilarious, so, do not miss.

Painfully Funny, or "Ha! Ha! Ha! Stop that! It Hurts! Ha! Ha! Ha!..."
I don't always laugh out loud when I watch comedies, and I don't always feel so bad for the protagonist when sad things happen, but when I do, it's cause I was watching Watamote. There were so many funny moments in this series. I laughed out loud many times throughout, that's rare for me. The most you'll usually get out of me is a smirk and a goofy grin on my mug. However, Watamote pulled them ...

Since I'm not popular, I love this show.
Can't say I'm huge fan when it comes to this genre of anime, but Watamote really struck a chord in me.

The anime follows the misadventures of 15 year-old Tomoko Kuroki on her quest to climb up the social ladder during her first year of High School. Unfortunately for Tomoko, her extreme social ineptitude and awkwardness prevent her from doing so. A textbook otaku/hikikomori, watching Tomoko's ...

  • Man I hope they make more of this!
I don't think I've ever seen a girl otaku series but after watching this, I'm looking for more. Her struggles and thought processes are funny, interesting, and compare to my own in ways that make me accompany in her embarrassment. Remembering those things you said or did in school that embarrass you is a reality for many of us, being able to laugh at it is essential. Loved this series and hope to ...

  • Being popular or socially awkward?
I heard a lot of rave towards this being made into an anime. I had watched the first episode when it came out and I was very indifferent about it. So I left it alone and decided to rewatch later with a different mindset.

Yes, it can be hard to watch. This painful socially awkward girl is just trying to make it through life. It had its moments and references, I just wished it developed a little ...
