  • Hilairous - Really Tugs At My Heart!
Wow, this might just be my favorite series of the summer anime so far and there's only been one episode. The main character, sadly enough, reminds me a little too much of myself. Awkward, gloomy, never attracting people's friendships easily. That last part isn't too good for your self-esteem believe me. Trivial stuff aside, I found myself a lot more invested in this story than I thought I'd be. ...

Awesome Anime and I hope it keeps going on after seaosn 1
This anime really shows how a lot of us in schools these days kind of act towards our appearance, popularity, etc.. This really mixes all the ingredients together and right now if they don't plan on ending it on season 1 they already deserve a season 2&3. So I really think they could go really far with this anime and can even take us to her final days in high school and then onto college and maybe ...

WATAMOTE ~No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys Fault I’m Not Popular!~ Review
Extremely popular manga via 4chan-- and for a good reason. Internal dialogue is incredibly comical and and although there is a cliche introvert protagonist, Tomoki's overreactions and thought processes make this show unique. It shows the struggle of an introvert fitting into society with hilarity ensuing along the way.

A refreshing - or highly disturbing - take on Otaku
Warning: This show may trigger extreme second hand embarrassment, and sympathy, in those who play dating sims, those who read manga, those who have difficulty communicating in "Reality" and those whose life choices made school life a torment for them. WATAMOTE reminds us of a time when our escapes from reality were our reality - and paints a scarily realistic picture of a path we ...

  • yes no matter how someone looks
this anime is so good because it relates how some people suffer so much in high school not knowing who they really are and what they do everyday. it brings you back to how communication is not always needed in life but who you choose to be dont allow your self to be who you are not.

  • Relatable To Many People Out There Today, Comedy With References
For being someone that's read the manga first I felt the manga had a better start. Although the animation here is great and has a comedic storyline. It has a great slice of life genre that can relate to many people out there today. While being a funny anime there are some great references seen in this series. Not many anime characters nowadays can be seen with eyebags and look at cute as Tomoko! ...

    Surprisingly touching
Going into this anime, I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. The premise gave me the impression of it being something average at best, but wow, it's very quickly become one of my favorite series of the season.

Now, granted one of the reasons I think I'm liking it so much is because of how relatable I find the protagonist; a lot of her characteristics and her way of thinking, especially, are the ...

    Can't Wait to See More!!
As an Anime enthusiast, I have watched many slice of life Anime. This one is quite different from the others in that it only centers around one character thus far. It also shows high school life from the unpopular kids point of view. As an Unpopular kid when I was in high school, I understand the feelings conveyed through this show. You tend to hate everyone else around you, while secretly wanting ...

One of my MOST want to see anime!
I may be the only one, but this anime actually reminds me of a song called, "Tokyo Teddy Bear." Like, she seems like she's trying to change herself, but then it never really worked. So possibly (in the end) she stays herself. Though, I don't think it'll happen. I just believe it's something like that. I really am excited for the next episodes!

    Edit:

Holy crap. I was right. She did stay as ...

Watamote - First Impression = Lasting Impression
I either need to get new friends or stop listening to the ones I have. Why? Because all they keep talking about is depressing series like Modaka Magica and Attack on Titan and it almost made me miss this new series.

This is a series that just feels mandatory to watch just because of everything that's in it, the art style, dark humor and tone, setting, story, and music but most of all the main ...
