    This Is a Parody, Right...?
(Note: my verdict on this anime is upheld after five episodes)
...Is what I thought when I clicked on episode one. I mean, come on. Its name is "Wonder Momo." Aliens. Blatant fanservice. Dated character designs. (Some of the aforementioned makes sense, as it was based on an '80s video game that was quite well-known for its fanservice...a little detail I found out later.) It has all the makings ...

    Wonder Momo and friends
I am coming to this series without ever having seen the webcomic I've recently learned about. I have played an old arcade-style game of the same name.

The main character is a not-particularly-popular aspiring idol and student of Namco High School. Since you're reading this, you probably recognize Namco as a video game company. Indeed, we see posters advertising Namco games in an early episode. ...

    Wondering no more about this
When your friends rave how Japanese voice acting is the best show them this. I doubt they'll last more than 2 minutes into this short 5 minute or so anime.

While I don't like writing negative reviews, this show has little to recommend to anyone. The animation is limited and from what I hear, has little to do storywise with the web comic that is supposed to inspire this anime.

    To bad since ...

  • Biff! Bop! Wham! Pow!
Kermit is actually a friendly alien. Hula Hoops are magical energy weapons. However, dorky newspaper boy is still dorky newspaper boy. Like the Adam West "Batman", the campy, melodrama is awful. I don't think the art or characters are that bad. VA's fit the 2-bit feel. That this made it across the Pacific is the real Wonder.................

  • Could have been better
I was really hoping for something better. The story line is really weak all around, the characters are not really strong for the story arc. I would have rated this higher is there was more material than just 5 minutes per episode and more character development as well.

Really disappointed with how this series started out.

Bad and not getting any better
Seems like the character designers are all still stuck in the 1990s. The writing is so bad, empty and hollow. There is no substance to the dialog. I think it was written by 3rd graders. Maybe the writers and designers still play their 1980s era gaming system and haven't left their rooms since. This show is completely low budget all around. You can even tell the voice actors have nothing invested ...

Sad that this isn't the normal 20+ minutes long
I was kind of intrigued by the idea behind this anime. I was really looking forward to it too, until i went to watch it and it's only like 8 minutes long. Granted I'm not saying it is not good. I'm just really disappointed that the episodes aren't longer. Seems fun, but i hate short shows.
