And yes, that's the same ring from Dong Yi. She became Lady Choi when she was made Royal Consort and King Yeongjo in this show was Dong Yi's son.

originally I thought it was a bit overreacting how the ppl acted to the kings death. living over 80 back then was a miracle! they should be happy he went peacefully. but as for the prince, the king was his only relative he could trust

Who noticed that it was the ring Song Yeon got was the same one the King gave Dong Yi in the "Dong Yi" drama? Lol. Makes me wonder if Dong Yi really had that ring.

I was touched when the announcer made it public that the king is dead. I got chillsat the sound of the horn. I love the fact that the people are very remoreseful and loyal to thier king at times like this.

This time, i really bought the princess's tears of sorrow. This episode is deff. my favourite, although it consists of a bitersweet moment! I would like to mark this as the climax of this long tale! BTW: I didnt buy the queens "real" tears!

the king wasnt really that bad of a guy he just did what he thought was best and tried hard to not let anyone he thought evil take the throne...he was just misunderstood and used by his evil queen!!! :'( sad episode

Still the way he killed him was the most cruel as the prince suffered greatly for so long with thirst, hunger, heat until hope slowly died. He felt no love from his GRANDfather. Of course the king should be guilt ridden. .

Man, I have been angry with that old king for 44 episodes for killing his own son, and now I'm all sad and crying for him with the CP. The whole portrait thing was getting me all choked up. Still, I can't forgive the princess at all.

Poor king. Hes the first king from kdramas to make me feel so sad and cry. He had a harsh life. I really hope San gets his act together because the king can save him anymore ...and hes really getting on my nerves!

I know that princess Hwawan's evil but she truly love her father. Unlike the queen. She truly love the king. I feel bad for her. Even when The queen was plotting to kill him, the princess went against it.
