I'm glad that the old queen did the least she can do: to say that she did not commit a suicide at the royal court. However, I still don't trust her. Overall, what she did was really wise. Now that San is king, his "manliness" is revealed.

If a prince/king doesnt have a concubine, you can safely guess that he truely loves the princess/queen or she was able to produce an heir before the king went else where.

Concubines are more than Princess/Queens are. In most cases they are usually the prince/King's true love. Sometimes they produce the heir or an accidental 2nd heir. They tend to be more useful than the princess/queen!

to Jadesola, Concubine was a pretty common roll in a lot of palaces and in most was a very respected position. Generally, there was a ceremony akin to marriage to become a concubine.
