Review of Yokuwakaru Gendai Maho for the otaku
Classical magic is so Y2K! So move aside, here comes "comprehensible modern magic" for the new millennium. There're action, comedy, a temporal mystery, and a lovable cast consisting of the ditz (Koyomi), the cool chick (Misa), the loli and the boing (yes Yumiko pulls double duty on this one -- now that's what I called a dedicated MOE actress!)

To help you learn about modern programming, I've ...

    A very interesting anime
This anime wasn't like other magic anime that I have seen. This one was really cute, I liked the concept of having a code and constructing it inside of your body if you were a classical mage or through something electronic if you were a modern-day mage. It incorporated all the character's and their past in different episodes, and I felt that I got to learn a little bit more about each character. ...

    Eh, Yokuwakaru Gendai Maho...
I usually watch anime based on the cover picture and the description of the anime. Read it, thought it was pretty good, but when I actually watched it, it didn't meet my expectations.

    Storyline:
The storyline starts out confusing, but becomes more understandable as the story progresses, but it still manages to to forget to connect the pieces together and leaving certain information out. ...

    Confusing yet Touching!
At first when I first watched this anime, I was a bit confused about it. I was like what the heck, I don't get it, but after a few episodes down, they kinda explained it a bit. I feel for Koyomi, she is a bit clumsy and slow, but shes a very kind person. I'm surprised her friend could understand her and magic even though she can't see it or sense it. lol It was very enjoyable, confusing, and ...

Don't watch this if you don't like fan service. Oh and it's not a good one for kids.
If your not in to fan service and you like stronger female characters types don't watch this anime. It will turn you stomach.

I started watching this because was intrigued by the idea of computer and old style magic types. By the first episode I was fairly certain I wasn't going to like it.

Within the first four minutes of the first episode there was a glimpse of the underwear-less ...

Simply amazing! I really love it.
I really love the anime, the way the anime starts just makes me wonder and makes me want to watch more.
Honestly, it does have some annoying characters, but that's what makes it fun to watch.
This anime really makes me want to get membership.

I really love the intro song aswell.

Quite an unique storyline for a Magic based animation
This anime is based on a clumsy girl who wants to change herself. She finds an old brochure (turns out to be really ancient) advertising a school of magic. Once there, she begins to learn modern-day magic, (mostly computer based), which is where the original and uniqueness of this anime comes into play. I have much hope for the development of the story, and the op. brought up my expectations as to ...

    Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou
Yoku Wakaru Gendai Mahou is a magic story although it is used in a more modern way through computers and other electronic appliances. The stroyline so far isn't yet fully clear to me as it seems the main plot is the main characters Yomiko and Koyomi as well as Kaho quest to learn magic. If there is a subplot it has not yet been revealed. (I've watched 5 episodes so far so who knows whats to ...
