    Breaking the limits of Shoujo: Review Episodes 1-5
    Warning: everything in the spoiler brackets reveals an outline behind the events of episodes one and two. I provided this for those who need convincing to go watch this anime, but it is not necessary to read it to understand the rest of the review. Otherwise, everything stated below is a review on the first 5 episodes, for it is still simulcasting. Beyond that, enjoy the review.

    Yona of ...

    Good as story line <3
    Akatsuki no Yona,
    A detailed anime and story line. I recommend this to everyone. Yona is a likable main character. I can see this anime going quite far.
    Pros:
    * Amazing Storyline
    * Great artwork
    * Amazing character description on the first episode in my opinion
    * Good start
    * Very classic and original idea
    * Not your typical cliche story
    * Great opening music

    Cons:

    Response to some critics
    Let me start of by pointing out a few of the misleading reviews I found here in Crunchyroll:
    "The pacing felt rushed and I found the twist predictable. The picture for this anime got me excited, seeing the Princess holding a sword, but the first episode revealed that she is a self-absorbed, unintelligent, and helpless little princess."
    and
    "Couldn't make it to the end of the 1st ...

    Weak princess? Think again!
    Another anime I'm enjoying so far adapted from a manga (duh!)

    So far the anime is following the manga closely, though I think the beginning is a little different with Yona narrating the story from the present after encountering all the other characters. Matters not. The story is still very good and I recommend this to anyone who enjoys historical genres (me!)

    The beginning might annoy some ...

    Really enjoyable as a manga
    I am really looking forward to this as a anime. I Just finished reading manga.

    This is a cute quest series about a sheltered princess named Yona. She is forced to go on a journey due to some uncomfortable situation.
    With her body guard/ best friend, Hak's help, they escaped from the

    At first I wasn't sure if I would like this
    I was expecting either another cutesy fairy tail, or at worst yet another fan service piece of crap. I decided to give it a go, and I am very glad I did. From the beautiful intro sequence, and the great fluid animation this has quickly become a favorite. The story line is a re-tread of many other manga/animes however this feels more interesting. It would appear they are far more interested in ...

    Great Fantasy and Characters
    The character development (especially Yona's!) is top notch. The plot has the right balance of action, political intrigue, and romance. Plus, it has lovely animation. I was uncertain about the score at first but it is really growing on me. Highly recommended!

    First Episode. Lot's of Promise.
    From the opening to the conclusion, I am proud to say that Akatsuki no Yona, thoroughly captures the audience. With its soundtrack, action, animation, and dramatic plot, this is sure to be a great autumn anime.
    The story starts off as the future Yona speaks about her past. I assume that is how the story will be carried out, until it catches up to her currently. It is a great way to start off ...

    Best manga adaptation EVER.
    No really, I can't think of a better one. I've been reading the manga and it is amazing, but this anime seriously gives me the chills every time and waiting every week for a new episode is still torture. It's beautifully, fluidly animated--especially fight scenes, romance scenes and dramatic scenes. The combination of humor and action and emotion and even political intrigue is perfectly ...

    Dragons guard agaist the hawks ambitions.
    end of season revise.

    Opening with lovely music, and the impression of impending destiny, this show looks like it carries significant promise for the season. The OP has a lot of symbolism, and could give away more than is intended. The efforts they are putting into the characters is promising of a story that will carry depth and challenge to the end. There are many divergences into the ...
