Great Shounen Sports Anime. Need more reviews.
This is a great shounen sports anime that is really good. At first look it might not seem to exciting but the story and character development is phenonemal and this show has the potential to be something great. One thing for sure is that it is always interesting and sucks you right in from the very first episode. This is one of the animes that has a lot of feels and emotions when it comes to ...

  • One of my top Anime Don't pass this up
Love this show. Its not just a sports anime. It has that feel you get when you watch any other anime where they face one villain and take on the next. Every new team they face seems like a new story arc. What really draws me to this anime though is the character development you see taking place. It is fun to watch them grow with all the choices they make. I love that it is unpredictable. Usually ...

  • Best Sports Anime Around Town
This show not only captures the essence of character development but does a good job of doing it. After having watched other sports anime I came across an issue that was prevalent in all of them, a poor MC. Ace of Diamond from the get go decides to avoid this by going down the path of proper and well flushed out character development. From early on Eijun's hidden ability is made clear however, it ...

  • A Different Kind of Baseball
This series is one of a few different baseball anime series, but this one takes the cake as the most interesting and really tells the watcher what baseball is all about. I am not a baseball hype monster but I do really enjoy the characters and atmosphere that this show brings to the plate (pun intended). Each character in the show whether it be an enemy pitcher or another teammate, they all have a ...

  • Absolutely Amazing!!
I want a season 3! The animation for their movements is perfect and they capture the attitude of an athlete very well. Being a player myself I was able to relate to a lot of this, especially Miyuki. Definitely one of my favorites and I will be reading the manga!

  • Better than Real Life Baseball
I'm not a fan of baseball, and watching the majors is pretty boring to me here in the states, but for some reason this anime makes baseball interesting. Not even the many movies we have on baseball here in the states make it as interesting as this anime did.

Kudos to the writers for this anime. I feel like I have more of an appreciation for the game now and why so many people are fans of it. ...

  • Great Anime, Even Greater Sports Anime
This show is actually why I ended up paying for Crunchyroll! The characters in this highschool baseball anime are all so well rounded and written. The 2 ace pitchers Sawamura & Furuya are so different from one another (one a hardworking athlete, the other a naturally gifted one) yet their want to be the ace is played to great effect over the course of the series.
As an example of how deep this ...

  • It's Been 2yrs and Still It Makes My Heart Pound!!
I first picked this series up two years ago when I was trying to get into the sports anime genre and I was quickly addicted. I stopped watching because the series wasn't complete and now with s2 at some 50 episodes, I've picked it up again.

As a refresher I did re-pick up s1 starting at the game against Inashiro and it still made my heart pound, it still made me cry and scream and hold onto ...

  • Intensity, Perseverance, Integrity, and the pursuit of your goals...Thats what this is! YES YES YES!
I really went into this with little expectations but it far exceeded any ideas I had to be a great sports anime. Its all about struggle and hard work to discover your potential and to push your limits or expand your views. Sawamura plays sincerely and always tries to be better than before eventhough he falters sometimes, he pushes through to move forward one step at a time. I really enjoyed his ...
