    Exquisitely Ordinary Yet Captivating
For fans of basketball, Ahiru no Sora sticks true to the sports roots: game rules, breakdown of plays, and a typical high school life in Japan. An array of characters makes the story very compelling. You already get a hint of each uprising character without it dragging the story. The show has a wonderful soundtrack composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi, one of the composers for Dr. Stone.

"I Hate the Pacing" <----- DONT THINK LIKE THIS
For the people that are thinking what the name of the title is, I can understand why but don't let the pacing of this show fool you. It's supposed to be like that and it's one of the few anime I'm actually going to watch until the end because I love the realistic aspect of it where there isn't a broken ass main character that is winning every game from the start. I also love watching the growth of ...

Looking good so far. Great sports anime
The fluid motion drawn out by the artists and editors is amazing. I expect a great future! 3 seasons hopefully. I love how there is realistic isomotions as Kurutami handles the ball.
Creating something that resembles real ballers makes me want to get up and play myself. Think I will!

    Basketball with a Spark
This anime has brought out many different aspects of why I love anime so much! Ahri no Sora follows the life of a boy Sora who is shorter than the rest of his peers. Unlike the rest of his teammates he seems to have had more experience and practice with basketball in his life. Throughout the anime the characters will develop in ways you couldn't imagine, this results in heart wrenching ...

    Fantastic new sports anime
Looks like another great sports anime with a difference. Interesting characters and I really like the MC. His job to overcome the inertia of one character and the delinquency of the others. Looks like a possible love interest as well. Looking forward to the next episode!

    Grounded Sport Anime
    Awesome show.
Very grounded characters, with big exposition to their inner workings. The plot has some nice twists and turns, very dramatic.
Could be a drama/sports/slice-of-life hybrid, with plenty of nice jokes and wrinkles here and there.
    Recommended!
P.S.: The non-supernatural skills are greatly appreciated. Not everyone has to have an unreal jump/throw/swing/you name it, in an anime

    Replacement for NBA right now.
yooooo this ish is fire. such a good story line so far. a must watch if you're a fan of basketball. just give it a chance in the beginning and let it develop and you'll definetly be a fan. compared to kuroko's basketball, its more realistic, but still has as much action.

  • Extremely good, with all its defects
The anime of Ahiru no sora transposes the manga in an excellent way. Even though the animation techniques during mathces and games were in very poor quality, the overall structure and plotstyle capture the viewer for 50 episodes.
Hoping for a season two, the anime absolutely needs good animation in games to be definitely attractive and capture a wider audience.
Strongly recommended, you won' t ...

A *REAL* SPORTS ANIME WITH NO PLOT ARMOR
FIRST SPORTS ANIME WHERE TEAM DOESN'T HAVE PLOT ARMOR
Almost every sports anime I've watched has had plot armor as some point in the anime, even within the first seasons. This is so much more than just a sports anime. It's a sports anime with heavily dramatic and hearfelt scenes and character development. Even though it feels like hardly anything happened, the thrill of the emotional ups and ...

    VERY REALISTIC FOR AN ANIME
This is a very good anime that displays a more realistic look at basketball. If your looking for an anime in which the team starts OP , or for unreal cool looking plays , this isn't the right anime for you. The main critique is that this anime is to depressing and the team doesn't win enough. This is showing a reality for basketball players in real life. Everyone unfortunately cant be a winner. ...
