Watched this on youtube a while back
    Its hilarious, totally shows of ProZD's talent, while sensibly and creatively poking fun at english-jap culture in an actual semi-serious mini storyline. great watch, 10/10 i gues wish there was more. ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-; ;-;

Crunchyroll has blessed us with season 2
It parodies anime so much that each reference tests your anime knowledge. The description alone explains a lot about the series.

Season 1 was super-short, just 3 episodes at about 8 minutes a piece (including OP and ED) - only about 6 minutes of gold. What they managed to do in those 6 minutes is impressive. The production quality was low, but the anime references and story line were hilarious ...

It's not an anime, but it's the next best thing
While people do tend to hate this shot because it's not an "anime", I think that's the wrong way of looking at this show. Just imagine it as a "live-action parody anime" instead. The cringe is high, but the jokes and references strike the heart of every otaku out there. And lo and behold, there's a subtle, underlying plot that strings along the seasons.

I give it 5/5 because it took something ...

    better than I expected
I was pleasantly surprised by this, it was definitely better than I expected. Didn't feel like it was trying too hard or anything and not taking itself seriously, it works. I thought the acting was also good, especially the leads, considering that I wasn't expecting much (I was not familiar with any of the cast beforehand). I felt like it hit the right notes for me to feel like it was funny and ...

Great show that is well done and hilarous
I'm loving the ACD, I love how they poke fun at anime tropes and I think the actors do an amazing job. I really hope they continue with this show! I was hooked from the first episode and I was not expecting to laugh this much from a live action show. I also appreciate how the openings really look like anime openings!

    Exceeds expectations
I was surprised to see how low the reviews are for this show. It's the logical next step of ProZD's style of comedy, and he's perfect for the leading role.
Most other reviews say the show is entirely cringy anime memes and references. And they're right. That's the whole point of the show. It doesn't take itself seriously, and is very self-aware about its comedy. When viewed in that framing, it's ...

    Anime Crimes Division 5/5
Excellent parody series with a lot of in-jokes for the anime community. Had me laughing pretty much non-stop. Recommend to anyone looking for something silly and fun without a lot of time investment. "I know you didn't come down here just to tell me what a sugoi job I did." lol

    Genius.... Just genius
There are 2 types of people out there in the world. The type that get why this series is literal gold, and the type that are so full of themselves that they can't see past their own misgivings. The humor is so spot on and well written. Just watching Joe speak makes me smirk.

A knowing wink at anime fandom
In Neo Otaku City, a hard core anime cop gets partnered with a fresh faced rookie knowing no better than to openly confess to Digimon as her favorit anime.

I went into this show expecting to cringe, but ended up binging instead. It's a hilarious, but loving, send-up of weeaboo culture, made by otaku, for otaku. Every anime trope and quirk of the fandom seemingly gets lampooned, but in the end ...
