Executive committee of Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair announced today its fifth event attracted a total of 43,936 visitors (Miyako Messe: 32,313, Kyoto International Manga Museum: 6,508, Rohm Theater Kyoto: 3,000, Family Area: 2.115) in two days of September 17 and 18, which was a 19 percent increase from the previous year. In 2015, the event experienced a drop in attendance for the first time, but thanks to the extended areas and increased exhibitors, this year marked the highest number of visitors.
