The official site for Madhouse's adaptation of Marvel Comics' Marv Wolfman/Gene Colan created vampire hunter Blade has been updated with staff information. Mitsuyuki Masuhara will direct the show. His previous action work include episode directing Gungrave, Shigurui: Death Frenzy and Tenjho Tenge, but his primary directing work was on cute cat anime Chi's Sweet Home. Kenta Fukasaku, son of the legendary Kinji Fukasaku, writer on the Battle Royale movie and writer/director of Battle Royale II will script the series.
Akio Ohtsuka (Solid Snake, Black Jack, Batou in Ghost in the Shell) voices Blade with singer/voice actress Maaya Sakamoto in an original role, Tsutomu Isobe (Black Lagoon's Dutch) as Deacon Frost and Osamu Saka (Aramaki in Ghost in the Shell) as Noah Van Helsing.

The Madhouse anime adaptations of Marvel characters (Iron-Man, Wolverine, X-men and Blade) will be airing on the United State's G4 cable network.
