Casting Details and More Announced for "Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!" Anime

Set to begin airing January 2012; Nendoroids, PSP game coming

Tomohiro Matsu's light novel series about a 19 year old college freshman who ends up parenting his sister's three girls ages 14, 10, and 3 was announced back in August as an anime, but today's live-streamed production presentation brought the detail flood you may have been waiting for.


Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father! is set to begin airing this coming January. The director is Itsuro Kawasaki, who most recently directed The Legend of Legendary Heroes. feel. is in charge of animation. See below for cast details:


Yuuta Segawa - Wataru Hatano (whom you might know as Gajeel Redfox from Fairy Tail)

Raika Oda - Yui Horie (Chie in Persona 4, Charle in Fairy Tail)

Kouichi Nimura - Daisuke Ono (Jun Satou from WORKING!,  Katakura Kagetsuna from Tono to Issho)

Shuntarou Sako - Junji Majima (Kinji Tooyama from Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Tooru Miyagishi from Hanasaku Iroha)

Yuri Takanashi - Sayaka Oohara (recent roles in Persona 4, Fate/Zero)

Shingo Takanashi - Nobuo Tobita (recent roles in Dragon Crisis!, Puella Magi Madoka Magica)


It appears to have been previously revealed that the sisters roles are as follows (oldest to youngest):


Sora Takanashi - Sumire Uesaka 


Miu Takanashi - Eri Kitamura (Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Kanade Suzutsuki from Mayokichi!)


Hina Takanashi - Hiromi Igarashi (recent roles in Tono to IsshoBaka and Test - Summon the Beasts)


The opening song is untitled as of yet, but will be available for purchase February 9th. Kitaeri (AKA Eri Kitamura—yes, the very same) is singing it. 


Yui Horie is also doing double duty by singing the ending song, "Coloring," which will be released January 18th.


It was also announced that Nendoroid figures as well as a Bandai Namco PSP game are in the works. The game scenario is being handled by original author of the light novels, Tomohiro Matsu.
