Shoujo Manga "Kyou, Koi o Hajimemasu" to Become Live-Action Film

Recently ended Kanan Minami series gets a screen adaptation

Announced in the very issue of Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine in which the shoujo manga ended, a live-action film adaptation of Kanan Minami's Kyou, Koi o Hajimemasu is on the way.

Though the film currently has no release date, and other details have yet to be divulged, here's the gist of Minami's story. While Tsubaki Hibino loves giving others adorable hairstyles, she is relatively indifferent to romance and fashion. When the mean-spirited boy Kyouta teases her on the first day of high school, she responds by whipping out scissors and cutting off his long hair, kicking off a love-hate relationship between the two.

Kyou, Koi o Hajimemasu also received an anime OVA adaptation directed by Shigeyasu Yamauchi (Casshern Sins, Dream Eater Merry). The first and second DVDs were bundled with limited editions of the manga's ninth and tenth collected volumes, respectively.
