VIDEO: Gary Oldman on Live-Action "Akira" Role Offer

Actor not sure yet if he'll be playing a part in Warner Bros. film

Those closely following the potential casting of Warner Bros.' live-action Akira film will no doubt recall Gary Oldman being offered the role of The Colonel (Shikishima). In an interview with MTV, Oldman has a couple of quick comments about the offer.


The interview concerns The Dark Knight Rises, but MTV's Josh Horowitz managed to slip in a quick question about Akira. When asked if he plans on doing the film, Oldman responds, "I don't know yet," going on to say that he finds the script interesting and ending with, "We'll see, I'm open at the moment."
