"Harvest Moon: Land of Origin" Takes Its Farming to North America

Nintendo 3DS entry to be localized as "A New Beginning"

Last time we checked in on Harvest Moon: Land of Origin, farm tours were letting folks pet alpacas in Japan for real. We may not get that level of promotional realism here, but at least we're getting the game. Land of Origin is being localized for North America as Harvest Moon: A New Beginning.

Natsume made the announcement via Twitter, and the Nintendo 3DS entry in the quaint farming series will make its debut at this year's E3. A New Beginning lets players customize more than preceding Harvest Moon games, with the ability to create either a male or female character, tweak their appearance, and kick off a brand new farm from, appropriately, the very beginning.

You'll also be able to take vacations with your family, and even go on a honeymoon. Here's one of the handful of Japanese gameplay trailers previously released if you want a taste of what to expect.

I know we have some Harvest Moon fans here. Anyone looking forward to A New Beginning on 3DS?
