Japanese Fans Name Their Favorite Sci-Fi and Fantasy Anime

If you're a genre purist, prepare to rage

Leading up to the anime boom, North Americans largely associated anime with sci-fi and fantasy. It's a lot less clear cut now. Sure to incite some debate about the borders of the genres and their place in the anime, Biglobe recently posted the results for a pair of free-for-all polls asking visitors to name their favorite science fiction and fantasy anime.
