Japanese Fans Pick The Most Fascinating Anime

After a predictable top 10, the contents and order of the list are fascinating in and of themselves

In a new Biglobe free-for-all poll, almost six thousand Japanese fans named what they thought were the most fascinating anime... "gachi" ("extremely!") interesting ones that really suck you in.

After a predictable top 10, the contents and order of the list got fascinating in and of themselves.

47. Saint Seiya

48. (tie) Sakigake! Cromartie High School

48. (tie) Kyorochan

50. Jinzo Konchu Kabuto Borg VxV

For a Japanese audience poll, a top 20 spot for Cowboy Bebop is hugely surprising.

That said, especially the end of the list gets a bit suspect. For example, Kyorochan is a spin-off from a candy mascot. The Dagger of Kamui is far from meritless, but most would call it defensible at best rather than fascinating.
