"Gundam" Makers Sunrise debut new mecha anime in April
Gundam makers Sunrise's April sci-fi mecha anime Valvrave the Liberator works with the familiar premise that 70% of humanity has migrated into space, leaving a neutral, prosperous colony ready to be invaded. However the character by D.Gray-man's Katsura Hoshino certainly isn't typical Gundam-material.
Kou Matsuo (Natsuyuki Rendezvous, Rozen Maiden) will be directing, with Ichirou Ohkouchi (Code Geass) as the story composer. Mecha designers include the legendary Kunio Okawara as well as Makoto Ishiwata (Blassreiter) and Naohiro Washio (Bodacious Space Pirates).
Nana Mizuki and T.M.Revolution team up on the opeing while Angela (Asura Cryin') sings the end theme.
