Compared to winter's Cuticle Detective Inaba, the spring adaptation of Tatsuhiko Hikagi's Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge is the somewhat more serious, survival oriented, hair mystery anime due in April 2013. Fate/stay night's Yuji Yamaguchi will direct the Studio Gokumi (Saki, Oda Nobuna) produced adaptation of the Comic Alive (Haganai, Kämpfer, Maria Holic, Mayo Chiki!) manga.

Natsuki Hanae (Tari Tari's Wien) is Haimura Kiri while Kotori Koiwai (Joshiraku's Kigurumi Harōkitei) is Mushiyanokouji Iwai with Yumi Uchiyama, Kaori Fukuhara, Nobunaga Shimazaki, Yusa Koji, Kiyono Yasuno, and Arisa Noto in supporting roles.

The series' opening will be from Minami, while the ending is from Pony Canyon talent competition winner Karin Takahashi and Yuri Miyumiki.
