VIDEO: "Chocotan" Anime Short Stars Rie Kugimiya as Dachshund
Kozue Takeuchi’s shoujo doggie manga gets a promo anime for Ribbon Festa 2013
An anime short adaptation of Kozue Takeuchi’s shoujo doggie manga Chocotan!, about a talking miniature dachshund advising her young mistress, was prepared for Ribbon Festa 2013, and has now been posted online by Shogakukan Shueisha Productions. Chiaki Kon (Higurashi and Umineko: When They Cry) wrote and directed the J.C. Staff produced work with Rie Kugimiya (Gintama's Kagura, Fairy Tail's Happy, Hayate the Combat Butler's Nagi) as the title character.
Other cast includes Ayane Sakura (Vividred Operation's Akane Isshiki), Takuya Eguchi (Kuroko's Basketball's Shinji Koganei) and Mutsumi Tamura (Jormungand's Jonah, Please Kill Me's Sonya)
