2013 J-Pop Summit Festival Adds Katsuya Terada as Guest of Honor

Illustrator will be promoting new book, drawing, and autographing

San Francisco's 2013 J-Pop Summit Festival announced its first Guest of Honor earlier today, with renowned illustrator and manga artist Katsuya Terada set to attend the event. Terada is known for works such as his character designs for Blood: The Last Vampire, as well as the stunning full-color Monkey King manga, and he'll be promoting his new art book, Katsuya Terada Ten - 10 Year Retrospective.

Terada will also be on hand to meet attendees during a pair of autograph sessions at the Kinokuniya Booth stationed at Post St. in front of the New People building. The first takes place on Saturday, July 27, from 11:30am to 1:30pm, and the second will be on Sunday, July 28, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Tickets will be available to the first 50 people each day who either purchase his book or a Kinokuniya gift card of at least $25 in value.

There's also something else special in store for fans on Saturday. Terada will be doing a live freehand drawing on a blank wall on the first floor of the Japantown Kinokuniya from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. We recently posted one of his live drawings if you want a sample of what to expect from the artist.
