Shaft to Produce "Nisekoi" Anime

Plans set to be announced in next week's issue of "Shonen Jump"

An early look at next week's Shonen Jump issue 32 reveals that Shaft, the anime studio behind Madoka Magica, the Monogatari series, and recently [email protected], will be producing the anime adaptation of Nisekoi. Director on those projects, Akiyuki Shinbo, also has his name attached to this one.

The issue is also set to feature the last chapter of Sket Dance.

Viz releases the manga in North America and serializes it in its Weekly Shonen Jump digital anthology.

From Viz's description

It was hate at first sight... rather a knee-to-the-head at first sight when Raku Ichijo meets Chitoge Kirisaki! Unfortunately, Raku’s gangster father arranges a false love match with their rival’s daughter, who just so happens to be Chitoge! However, Raku’s searching for his childhood sweetheart from ten years ago, with a pendant around his neck as a memento, and he can't even remember her name or face!
