VIDEO: 2013 Summer Anime Film "Hakuouki Dai-isshou Kyoto Ranbu" Trailer

Featuring the soundtrack music by Kenji Kawai (Ghost in The Shell, 009 RE:CYBORG)

A 44-second preview video for a 2013 summer anime film Hakuouki Dai-isshou Kyoto Ranbu (Hakuouki: Chapter 1 Kyoto Boisterous Dance) has been posted in the web. It was announced in 2012 that the film would be the first part of the two-part Hakuouki film project based on a video game series featuring Shinsengumi, a special police force of Japan's late shogunate period (1863-1869 in the real history). The first film is scheduled to be released in Japan on August 24.

The film is directed by Osamu Yamasaki who worked on the previous anime series. Aika Yoshioka, the singer for some of the anime OP songs, performs the theme song for the film. And an acclaimed anime soundtrack composer Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, 009 RE:CYYBORG) joins the film for the first time in the anime series.
