FUNimation Licenses More ".hack" Anime

"SIGN," "ROOTS," "Legend of Twilight," and "G.U. Trilogy" acquired

FUNimation announced a handful of .hack anime during its San Diego Comic-Con panel yesterday, including .hack//SIGN, .hack//ROOTS, .hack//Legend of Twilight, and .hack//G.U. Trilogy.


The .hack series follows the adventures of young players attempting to make their way through The World, which acts as the setting for a fictional MMORPG. SIGN (prequel to the video game/OVA series), ROOTS, and Legend of Twilight feature direction by Noir's Koichi Mashimo, and .hack//The Movie director Hiroshi Matsuyama directed 2008's G.U. Trilogy film.  


These releases join .hack//Quantum, which FUNimation released last year as a DVD/Blu-ray combo.
