"Persona 3: The Weird Masquerade" Turns the RPG into a Stage Play

Play is set for a Japanese opening in January 2014

In a move not so unfamiliar for the Persona franchise, Persona 3 is making the transition to live performance in the form of a stage play called Persona 3: The Weird Masquerade. The play is set to open in the G-Rosso theatre at Tokyo Dome City in January 2014.

The play announcement was found on pamphlets passed out at today's Persona Music Fes 2013 event. The Weird Masquerade is being produced by a company called CLIE, and will feature the music of Persona composer Shoji Meguro.

Persona 3's turn on stage follows last year's Persona 4 stage play. Fans of the series are no doubt also looking forward to its debut as an anime film with the November 23 Japanese opening of Persona 3 the Movie #1: Spring of Birth
