Second "Encouragement of Climb" Anime Planned

Hanno City in Saitama Japan has a children's zoo. There's a noteworthy Astro Boy statue in its central park dating back to his anime series 20th birthday in 1983. And, and if you tour the city over the next couple of months, you can participate in a stamp rally based on Encouragement of Climb. Along with the promotion announcement  came news that a second anime is in the works. 


The moe mountaineering anime returns in spring 2014. Yuka Iguchi, Kana Asumi and Yui Ogura starred as a trio of school girls who discover the joys of the outdoors in 8-Bit's (Aquarion Evol, Infinite Stratos) first adaption of the Shiro manga earlier this year with B Gata H Kei - Yamada’First Time's Yusuke Yamamoto directing.
