VIDEO: Live-Action "Kiki's Delivery Service" Trailer

Film opens in Japan March 1

 This spring,  Ju-On and The Grudge director Takashi Shimizu shot the upcoming live-action adaptation film of Eiko Kadono's children novel Kiki's Delivery Service in Shodoshima, a small island of the Seto Inland Sea of Japan. Now, with the film set to open March 1, 2014, the promotion has kicked off for the feature.

In addition to 16-year-old Fuka Koshiba who plays the lead character Kiki. Osono and her husband Fukuo, the owners of Gütiokipänja Bakery, are played by Machiko Ono and Hiroshi Yamamoto. ki's mother Kokiri, who is also a witch, is played by 40-year-old actress Rie Miyazawa and her father Okino is by 42-year-old actor Michitaka Tsutsui.
