First of three episodes to be voted on for Steam availability
Following up on the previous success of its Steam Greenlight campaign for the Narcisu visual novels, Sekai Project have announced their latest Steam Greenlight campaign and this one will be of particular intrest to fans of Spice & Wolf as well as economics students in general, as the team is pushing for a release of World End Economica on Steam. Below, the game's description by the team:
From the author of Spice and Wolf, Isuna Hasekura, comes WORLD END ECONOMiCA. The opening video features music by Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets, known for the opening songs for High School of the Dead and Strike the Blood.
A three part visual novel set in the far future on the moon, 16 years after humans have begun to colonize it. A young boy named Haru has been chasing his wildest dream. His dream is to stand where no man has stood before, and in order to do so he needs capital, a ludicrous amount of capital. What better place to get that amount of capital by using the stock market? There are two key rules that govern the stock market.
The first rule: Never take a loss.
The second rule: Never forget the first.
Only those who follow these rules are able to obtain enormous wealth...
It should be noted that the game is currently available in English and was a success when it was first released online in 2013. Steam availability will undoubtedly expose the game to a much larger audience, but lets just hope there are enough fans of the author to get the game on Steam before we get ahead of ourselves.
As a bit of an additional incentive to vote for the game's inclusion, Sekai-Project are also holding a raffle for a copy of the soundtrack on its blog. Would any of you play this game if it did get picked up for Steam?
