"Gundam Side Story: Missing Link" Launches in Japan on May 29

Action game comes with HD remakes of previous entries in the series

Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link now has an official release date. According to this week's issue of gaming mag Famitsu, the third-person action game hits PlayStation 3 in Japan on May 29.

Fans of previous games in the series are in for a treat, because there's more in the package than just Missing Link. There will also be high-def remakes of The Blue Destiny; 0079; Lost War Chronicles; Space, To the End of a Flash; and Zeonic Front. While the remakes will feature the same voice actors, they'll use new systems and add a story mode from the perspective of Nimbus.

A plastic model of the "RX80PR Pale Rider" Mobile Suit will be packed in with the first-print limited edition—which is priced at ¥14,893 ($145)—along with a Side Story series soundtrack and art collection. Pre-orders come with a Pale Rider code for Gundam: Battle Operation, Gundam: Area Wars, and SD Gundam: G Generation Frontier

The standard edition of Missing Link will be priced at ¥8,208 ($80).
