Comedy manga follows employees at book store that sells doujinshi and adult manga
According to Japanese blogs, the July issue of Monthly Comic Flapper, on sale June 5th, is set to announce the staff for the adaptation of Denkigai no Honya-san. Reportedly, animator/storyboard artist Masafumi Sato will be directing the Shin-Ei Animation (Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan) production.
Milky Holmes' Makoto Moriwaki is supervising director, re-teaming with Kazuyuki Fudemasu on series composition and animator Yurie Kuniyuki stepping up to do character design and animation direction.
The original Asato Mizu manga focuses on everyday life of the seven clerks who work at a bookstore named "Books Umanohone" in an unnamed electric town located somewhere in Japan, which is selling not only general commercial books, but also doujinshi and adult books for the otaku readers. It is imaginable that "Umanohone" is a parody name of the popular otaku book/doujinshi store chain Toranoana.
