Mobile device streaming music service RecoChoku has published the results of a survey in which, between July 25 and August 5th, they asked users to name their favorite anime of summer 2014. 64.8% percent of the survey were women. 31% were under 18, and another 47% in their 20's. From this pool, Free! took first place, and scored that top spot with 90% of its votes coming from women.

Sword Art Online II took second place with 77% coming from men. At third, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun was even more lop-sided with 94% of its votes coming from women.
