"Kuroko's Basketball" Last Volume Tops Weekly Manga Charts in Japan

The 3rd TV anime will premiere on January 10

Though still having a great popularity among the fans, Tadatoshi Fujimaki's basketball-themed manga Kuroko's Basketball finished its serialization on Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump in this past September. According to the latest Oricon weekly manga sales charts, the last 30th tankobon volume published in Japan on December 4 sold 337,000 copies in its first week, becoming the top-selling manga of the week.

The first-week record holder is the 26th volume which was published in March 2014 and sold 482,000 copies. The total print run of the series has reached 28 million, and the upcoming third TV anime in next January is expected to push the sales up ever further.
