Junichi Wada steps up to helm the Satelight production

Last December, if you visited on an Android device, plans to produce a Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan anime were revealed. While the exact schedule of the TV series still hasn't been nailed down beyond 2015 time frame announced in August, the staff has now been revealed.

Takeshi Yasuda is on planning with storyboard artist and episode director Junichi Wada stepping up to helm the Satelight production. Touko Machida (Lucky Star, Wake Up Girls!, Chaika) is writing series composition with Ikuko Itoh (Princess Tutu) on character designs. Production credit goes to North High Literature Club.

Cast includes:

Yuki Nagato: Minori Chihara
Kyon: Tomokazu Sugita
Ryouko Asakura: Natsuko Kuwatani
Mikuru Asahina: Yuko Goto
Tsuruya-san: Yuki Matsuoka
Taniguchi: Minoru Shiraishi
Kunikida: Megumi Matsumoto
Itsuki Koizumi: Daisuke Ono
Haruhi Suzumiya: Aya Hirano

Puyo’s Haruhi spin-off manga series starts off with a less aliens, ESPers and time travelers approach to the material, as an average girl Yuki tries to save her beleaguered literature club by recruiting Kyon.

Yen Press is releasing the manga in North America.
