"Blood Blockade Battlefront" Anime Character Designs Previewed

Adaptation of "Trigun" author Yasuhiro Nightow's supernatural action manga due in April

The latest update on spring 2015's adaptation of Trigun author Yasuhiro Nightow's supernatural action Blood Blockade Battlefront matches the previously announced voice actor list to the series' principal cast. Along with this, character designs have been published for the who's who info.

Zap Renfro - Kazuya Nakai

 

Chain Sumeragi - Yū Kobayashi

 

Steven A. Starphase - Mitsuru Miyamoto

Gilbert F. Altstein - Shinji Ogawa

 

Akira Ishida - Femto

 

Sonic Monkey - Yūma Uchida

 

Cast also features Unshō Ishizuka, Akio Ōtsuka, Rie Kugimiya, Keiji Fujiwara, Hikaru Midorikawa and Mamoru Miyano

 

Rie Matsumoto, the young director of Kyousogiga, helms the Bones production. Kazunao Furuya is script writer with studio mainstay Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop) on character design.

 

Dark Horse, who publishes the manga in North America, describes the series:

A breach between Earth and the netherworlds has opened up over the city of New York, trapping New Yorkers and creatures from other dimensions in an impenetrable bubble. They've lived together for years, in a world of crazy crime sci-fi sensibilities. Now someone is threatening to sever the bubble, and a group of stylish superhumans is working to keep it from happening.
