Cast to Sing "Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan" Anime Theme

North High School Literature Club Girls' single will be released April 29th

Anime specialty retailer Tsutaya has Tweeted a listing revealing that the North High School Literature Club Girls, a vocal unit made up of Minori Chihara (Yuki Nagato), Natsuko Kuwatani (Ryoko Asakura), Yūko Gotō (Mikuru Asahina), Yuki Matsuoka (Tsuruya) and Aya Hirano (Haruhi Suzumiya), will be singing "Fure Fure Mirai," the opening to spring's The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan TV anime.

 

The single will be released April 29th.

 

 

Takeshi Yasuda is on planning with storyboard artist and episode director Junichi Wada stepping up to helm the Satelight production. Touko Machida (Lucky Star, Wake Up Girls!, Chaika) is writing series composition with Ikuko Itoh (Princess Tutu) on character designs.

 

Tatsuya Kato, (Free!) composer for Lantis, will compose the music for Yuki-chan.

The anime is based on Puyo’s Haruhi spin-off manga series, which starts off with a less aliens, ESPers and time travelers approach to the material, as an average girl Yuki tries to save her beleaguered literature club by recruiting Kyon. 

 

Yen Press is releasing the manga in North America.
