VIDEO: "Tokyo Ghoul" Gets Stage Play Adaptation in July

It is officially confirmed today that a stage play adaptation of Sui Ishida's dark fantasy action manga series Tokyo Ghoul is in the works for July. 20-year-old actor Yuuki Ogoe is set to play the protagonist Ken Kaneki. He is best known as Ryoma Echizen in the second season of The Prince of Tennis musical between 2010 and 2014. Marvelous has posted a 70-second message video from him below.

 

53-year-old Isamu Kayano, who has worked on the long-running musical stage show adaptations (Kayou Show) of Sakura Taisen/Sakura Wars since 2003, serves as director with a script by Chuji Mikasano. It is scheduled to be performed in Tokyo and Kyoto in this July.
